Considering the form and colour symbolism of Islam, this mosaic table a valuable mosque floor as a model: Green is the colour of religion, white is the colour of purity. The pointed Rhombuses symbolize eyes that protect against the “evil eye.” At each intersection there is a green eight-point star for the seal of the prophet. The mosaic pieces (tesserae) are made of glazed Zellije tiles hewn and laid practically seamlessly. A true masterpiece!
